That’s a bit much to give up considering the extension he’ll likely demand

A bit? I wouldn’t offer half of that. Samuelson alone should be more than enough, then you could use Krebs elsewhere.

While I appreciate the good value for our boys... We are talking about a ppg, 200ft., uber-competitive, all situation forward in Konecny here. I'd love to not have to use 10thOVR but I don't know if Samuelsson and Krebs is enough.

samuelsson on his own is no where near enough for konecny

top line 70-80 point wingers are not comparable to second pair defense only dmen

Lol
Are u unaware of who Konecny is?
30+ goal scoring PPG player, who has a good 2way game & is feisty

There’s ZERO CHANCE Samuelsson gets him in an even swap
I’d love that, but it’s not happening

I think you must be seriously underrating Konecny

Samuelsson is a good Dman, but he's not worth TK alone, especially with the injury issues.

He may be a 30 goal man right now in Philly, but once he gets to Buffalo, you know he’s not scoring 30 goals again. Not if you’re relegating him the third line minutes. If he gets top six minutes, who are you taking off those lines? Not Quinn, not Peterka, not Tuch, and if you’re going to play Skinner on the third line, you’ll be paying $9 million a year for a guy to maybe score 20. Buffalo needs a defensively responsible fourth line Center, who adds some physicality to this team. They don’t really need another scoring winger, even if they’re as good as Konecny can be. They need someone who hits, goes to the net, and maybe tips in pucks. He needs to help defend the plethora of smaller players on this team who aren’t very good at defending themselves.

Almost none of what you’re saying matters
To get Konecny, it will take more than just Samuelsson

None of what you’re saying matters? I don’t know who pissed in your Cheerios this morning, but I’ve never known you to be such a dismissive asshole. Perhaps it’s time to take a step back.

Sorry, was just trying to be brief

I meant that none of the points u were making are gonna convince Philly to “sell low” on Konecny
He’s gonna cost a bundle- and that’s if they even trade him

Konecny, is not the type of player I would go after. The previous post outlines plenty of reasons why. He’s a good player, but he doesn’t really fit with the team needs unless you are using him to replace someone else currently filling one of those roles. He might make the team better, but he doesn’t make them harder to play against.

Idk…. I think he’d be the perfect fit for us depending on his
next contract
He’s not only talented offensively, but a good defensive forward as well- and obviously we could use some good defensive forwards

I also don’t see an issue with how we’d do the lines
He’d definitely go into the top6, and bumping someone down to the 3rd line is just gonna strengthen that line all the more
Everyone would still get their icetime
