Absolutely. Too physically and mentally soft. Need an infusion grit, grit with skill.

Grit with SKILL is the key
Grit for grit’s sake won’t do much
Don’t need 4th line bangers that aren’t good at hockey

Imagine that huge man sitting in front on our PP, kid would probably score 40 here. Plus a 180 hits, decent on the PK and won't trip over the Blueline when there's trouble. Go get him and Trenin, they can add elements we need and start sending messages that you don't touch JJ or Benson or you will need to answer for it. Might make the Team play more confidently and grittier knowing someone other than Girgensons has your back.

Agree 100%. Unfortunately these guys cost more, and we haven't spent any high value picks on that skill set.

We talk a lot Bud, think I have been saying for a few Years that if Adams is gonna build a Team through the Draft basically. He would have to alter his draft style a bit to fit those kind of needs. Those complimentary pieces are just as important, especially if you are drafting small skilled forwards. He didn't do that so know if he wants that he needs to pay for it.
You posted somewhere else about maybe Granato and Adams not wanting to play a grittier style. If that's true that's Ridiculous and we would get destroyed in the playoffs if we ever make them.

They really need to address this, they really screwed up letting Peca leave.
