I like where your heads at, unless adams and granato go, I can't imagine them radically remaking their roster like this. It's a reasonable build for a team that wants to compete in the playoffs.

I was trying to balance it out a bit, maybe went a bit overboard. But think this makes us a overall better team with some Grit who can play.

If he costs half that I'm not interested.

Well what do you think the cost will be if he was available. Hard to find Players that fit his style.

Players that play his style are overrated and tend to break down quickly.

If this is the price I pass all day

I'd say littlejerry said it best. What's in all likelihood to be a top 10 pick, Kulich, a 2nd next year, a TOP 4 DEFENSEMAN, and a prospect throw in is wayyyyy too much for Crouse and Hayton who has so far been a bust

Very well could be a overpay, but Crouse gives something know to my Team and at a nice price for a few more years. Adds elements the Sabres desperately need and Kulich might not be ready for a bit. Samuelsson is hurt a lot and I have Johnson and Novikov in the AHL. Yes it could be a top 10 pick, that's why I put some protection on it in my Description. It would hurt to lose Kulich but the Sabres have a lot of prospects and the 2nd I got back in a different trade.

Well we're on the same page that they do need to trade at least some of the future assets for something to help now. Whether they do or don't remains to be seen. What I do know is there just isn't enough spots for everyone.

I'd say the Caps decline here. Joki would be adding to a position in which Washington already has 4 RHD under contract next year, and also has Iorio waiting in the wings to come up, so there isn't a real reason for them to move a 2nd for Joki.
