I do not think ZAR is centering the 3rd line to start out the season. Jim Rutherford already said that he wants to start him and Sprong off in WBS. He is just not ready for that responsibility yet. I think he will be, just not yet.

im an nor fan so don't get as much insight on them as you probably have lol, but figured ZAR had tremendous senior campaign at UConn and the Pens really need a bottom 6 center figured he'd make most sense instead of moving down Gentzel, also really wanted to get strong in but there just wasn't a fit on that right side so probably one more year with hornqvist entering his last year, loved springs game from the short sample size he got to play

Also he doesn't play center, so that's even more unlikely...
I see he is listed at center however, he didn't play their his last two years of college and in his ATO stint in WBS

Yeah ZAR is a wing who could fill in at center for a short time but a full time 3rd line role. The Pens view him winger and has been compared to a more talented kunitz or hornqvist type player as he has tenacity and touch around the net. and he has speed.
