That's not getting Andersson. Little Matty Savoie isn't the type of player Conroy has been drafting or trading for. Send the little guy to edmonton he's from there anyhow. Any offer from Buffalo for Andersson would have to start with Buffalo's 2024 1st and add from there. Top pair right shot RD don't come cheap especially not when they're on a very team friendly contract.

Calgary passes.

And an extremely weak return for Mitch Marner, You're definitely overvaluing Bowen Byram. And the rest aren't even close.

Just wait until he's a free agent to try and sign him. It's not that far away

Sabres probably aren’t trading for Marner
Would be a surprise if we were to add a big Cap hit like that

The Leafs wouldn't let that happen, he would either be traded or the Leafs just resign him
Even if he did make it to FA, he wouldn't sign with the Sabres

Marner goes no and I doubt TOR would trade with a divisional rival anyways

I could see the Leafs trading him at next year's deadline if they can't agree to an extension before then. Which I think is a real possibility. He's going to ask for Matthews Money and I don't know if the Leafs will want to do that. But keep in mind he has a NMC so ultimately that kind of decision needs to go through him first. Which is why I don't think it's out of the question that they don't come to an agreement and he hits FA without being traded.

As for the Sabres specifically I don't think they're a horrible destination. Up-and-coming team that will probably make the playoffs next year, a lot of young talent, and not too far from where he already lives. If they offer him the most $$$$ why wouldn't he take it?

First - you & I both have no idea what his contract demands will be. You are free to guess, but uneducated guesses are just that.
Second - tough to imagine they’d trade Mitch at TDL, but if they did - no way it would be in division . Sabres are up and coming team - they should be, they’ve been awful for years - but a bit early to say probably make playoffs next year, more like maybe along with 4-6 other teams.
