If forced to sell, this is a good offer, but they're still listening for better offers.

If I'm Montreal, I'm not even sure I offer this much. Necas has offense but I have concerns about his 200ft game.

It’s expensive. I might switch Beck with Kapanen and throw in a 2nd. I don’t care about his 200ft game tbh, not like he’s a liability. He’ll be surrounded with plus defensive players or you can keep him on the 2nd line away from top competition.

Barron= a first
Beck= a first(33)
+ a first + a third was way to much for Necas. Kapanen= Beck so yes Caroline would have to add a 2 nd

Kapanen is not quite equal to Beck, but it’s relatively close. I also wouldn’t say Barron is equal to a first at this point. I wouldn’t trade a first for him and I like him. He’s looking closer to a bottom pairing guy than 2nd pairing guy. A team would probably rather take their chances on drafting their own guy with a first over taking him. That’s just in terms of value. I think it’s closer to a 2nd personally. I would trade two late 1sts and a 2nd for Necas. Newhook cost us a late first and a 2nd.
