on CapFriendly he's shown as a centre, and on nhl.com he's shown as a RW.

This trade doesn't do anything for either side. The Islanders still need depth scoring and the Canadiens still need a #1 center. Galchenyuk is probably their best bet to be that guy, and it's not like the Islanders have a huge need for Galchenyuk either. If they were to play him at center, it either bumps Nelson down or Galchenyuk plays 3C, and if he's on the wing he's most likely behind Lee and potentially behind Ladd as well. Just doesn't make a lot of sense for either side. NYI probably wins this trade, but it seems like a bunch of moving pieces that kind of aren't necessary.

cant believe im actually saying this but im siding with RAIF. The original comment of "he can play centre, can't he?" was a reply to, "Why would MTL trade Galchenyuk for a non-center". So clearly hes referring to Ho-Sang

I like the idea of Galchenyuk as JT's winger but am also very high on Ho-Sang, don't see any point in the trade.

I mean, i'm sure they wouldn't want to say goodbye to Ho-Sang, but Galchenyuk is a VERY good player on the right team ... i think he'd be a great fit with the Isles. Sure, they won't want to give up Ho-Sang, but sometimes you have to give up something you don't want to give up to get a player you want.

Ho-Sang and Dal-Colle are very good prospect, but nobody know exactly what they could do in the NHL. But Galchy prove he could score between 20 to 30 goal. With a good center, he could score 30+ per season.

And Halak??? MTL have nothing to do with him.

I didn't. The thread is pointless. Why comment on a trade from your own mind? It's a non-trade, non factor.

Comment on things that actually happen.

That's what the Armchair GM is for! Go ahead and make up trades there, not here. You're just taking up space with your threads and some good ones can't be seen!!!!

This says 'all discussion related to NHL trades.' Not 'Do not post anything other than official trades.' And other people have posted trade ideas here, so i don't know why others can but i can't.
