Coleman may be better than Krebs right now, but he’s old and probably falls off next year. Sharangovich will probably decline faster than any player you’ve ever seen if he gets traded here. The production between him and Quinn isn’t that different if Quinn is healthy. This is an easily losing proposition for Buffalo.

A 2nd round pick seems kind of steep for a guy making $5.8MM who only has 13 goals. You're going to need to retain some salary or take a bad contract back, or you're going to have to settle for a lower pick.

Markstrom’s value at deadline was Holtz alone (Calgary GM even agreed to it only to get killed by management). Since then, he has been bad. And retention is now only $1m. And two years are fewer than three.

I don’t see how Markstrom price would have gone up
