You must have confused Bjorkstrand with someone else

Everything Seattle has been doing since their inception as a franchise has been part of their multi-year building process, with their true peak still yet to come. They're not about to backpedal and reset that whole timeline. With that in mind, I have a hard time seeing the Kraken trade one of their leading scorers to a division rival when they are in need of more scoring, not less.

I get that the first year created buzz and belief but I don't see Bjorkstrand, Burakovksy (if he can be moved) or Tanev not being traded eventually. Probably one each season going ahead. Others like Schwartz (NMC), Gourde (lack of C depth) and Eberle (given NMC) seems unlikely.

Larsson and McCann I can see extended even at 30+ when they do come up on UFA.

Maybe Francis tries to flip to revisit the playoffs this offseason via UFA. Not sure I'd agree with that approach but I don't see any of those guys being on this team when they could peak, unless either Larsson and/or McCann. The more early picks they can get now to build up their prospect pool, the better imo.
