there is no debate here. Sean Avery is the all time most hated player, not so close second is Matthew Barnaby. Marchand is considered an angel compared to these 2 guys.

First I'd like to say that I love the votes for Marchand. No doubt he's one of the dirtier players, but the fact that he's so disliked and still is one of the better producers in the NHL is fantastic! As for my choices

Current: Brad Marchand, I would love him if he was on my team, but hate when my team plays against him. He more just annoys me rather than I have a passionate hate for him. Again though if he was on my team, probably would like him. He's done some pretty questionable things, like using D. Sedin's as he personal punching bag and the diving and the cheap shots, spearing someone in the nads (Dotchin kind of had it coming). However, It's not like he is a terrible person off the ice. Actually he is a pretty respectable guy and I do think he does a lot for for Make-A-Wish and the fans. He's very much a Derek Jeter type who will do anything to win.

Other Current: Alex Burrows. The stick work and the things he's said I have a deep dislike of him. I'm going to take a page out of Johanson's book and say I honestly don't know how people cheered for him with of the things he's said and done.

Players I could see in the future: Jake Dotchin, he's give out some pretty nasty stuff in the AHL and NHL. He really has not made friends in Toronto.
Matthew Tkachuk-He's pretty bold for a rookie and has all ready been suspended once. I can see if he continues this behavior that people will hate him.

Tkachuk i hate more now than i will in the future. he'll grow up hopefully.
