Your offer is an AHL player, a guy who isn't skilled enough to be a 2C yet isn't tough enough to be a 3C, a very late first, and a second.

The Ducks probably end up with two useful players out of that, both bottom 6/4, at the cost of an elite top 6 talent. Does that sound like a fair exchange to you?

The Jets don't have the spare cap space to help the Flyers out by paying to take on a bad contract.
