Wouldnt say not close, perfetti is averaging more than 0.5ppg in his 140 first games, only 22 and didnt have the best opportunites yet. I still believe he can be a very fine top 6 player.

I agree tho that Guhle should not be dealt or if he his, it should be for something much more sure even if it means we had.

Seen some AGM’s with perfetti rounding out the top 6, I think guhle can develop into a good partner for Morrissey, like the 1 for 1 though since it’s a hockey trade like Casey for Bo but tiny pieces could be added on either side.

Guhle is a top pairing D man at 22, Perfetti is a struggling injury prone middle 6 forward, who do you think is easier to replace?

That Guhle/Perfetti proposal is one of those deals where both fan bases say NO because they think their player is worth more than the other.

The deal almost makes sense. I just can’t see who plays 25ish min/g on the first pairing with Matheson if we deal Guhle.

Guhle impact aren’t quantifiable with stats. He ain’t being move because you need this kind of defenseman to win. Guhle is a horse who can shutdown top opponents. Guhle will play 22-25 min a night. Perfetti will get 17-19 if he reach full potential. Guhle impact the game in much more aspect than Perfetti who absolutely need to put point if he want to stay in the line up. Perfetti skating is still a issue. We have Joshua Roy who is a very similar player. Both have high hockey IQ but they are both not fast skater. I love Perfetti since is OHL debut but top pairing defenseman are so hard to found you don’t trade them.

Matheson is 30, who do you think is replacing his 25min per game in 2 years? Guhle should be about as close to untouchable as it gets on this team.

The gap in their 82 game pace es points is less than 6.

Perfetti barely out produces Guhle production wise.

And guhle is is a defenseman. A dman whos defense is his greatest asset.

Perfetti is a undersized winger.

Hes not worth more than newhook when we acquired him. And nobody is getting a dman of guhles calibre for a late 1st and 2nd
