At 5 mill Couturier is certainly not a cap dump.

Philly isn’t retaining that long, if that’s the deal, might as well sell savoie, with that much term ahead of him.

Check back in a year or two on Marino. We need our shutdown RHD for now.

Maybe but considering he's signed until 38 it's pretty darn close

Value looks pretty good. The Jets are probably talking with that offer.

Forget Ehlers and Couturier, that contract is poison, even if they did eat a good chunk of it. Imagine paying $5 million a year to a guy who may top out at about 40 points, and that’s if he stays healthy over the term of the deal. He just hasn’t been the same player since his injuries, Philly either has to eat that contract or buy him out because he’s just not worth that money anymore. Besides, if you are bringing in Drury you don’t need Couturier.

1- Philly is pretty unlikely to dump him like that

2- and ad you point out, he’s signed till he’s 38- he’s absolutely not a guy we should target- terrible idea, no matter what his Cap hit is

I'm conflicted on him. Being signed until 38 is absolutely a problem, but he's also still a very good player, and we need to win games.

Assuming we do even need to win now,
doesn’t it make more sense to find a decent 2way 3C who we aren’t shackled to until he’s 38

His age/contract is a total deal breaker,
no matter how good he is
And I don’t think he’s as good as you’re saying anyways
He’s been beat up & declining for a few years now
