TOR get considerably better offers. They have like 8 d-men better than Maatta right now. I'd have concerns about Bergren considering he can't break this fringe playoff team lineup. Walman is really the only solid NHL piece, and even then, his claim to fame is riding behind Seider...

When you clearly don't understand the Berggren situation...

???

He's expiring and now an arbitration RFA with barely any NHL games experience, traded for a guy in his prime that produces at well over a point per game for years. I don't have to interview his mom to understand this is not a good trade for the other team, especially coupled with the other 2 lackluster pieces.

Nah, you just need to maybe do enough research to not make an ignorant comment about why he didn't break into the roster.

Hint: It has to do with waiver exemption.

Again, who cares? In what realm is he a major piece for Marner? Glad you have a phd for harping on minor semantics instead of looking at any main point. Very productive

"I said dumb **** and can't handle being corrected, so I'm gonna call it an irrelevant point anyways."

This isn’t doing what you want it to do… Red Wings pass and so do the Leafs

What teams do you think would be in on this bidding war? Marner has a NMC so basement dwellers are out...
Berggren is a good offensive winger, but not fully developed defensively yet. He will be on the wings opening night roster barring a trade. I value him like a late first. Walman is a good cheap 2D. Maatta is a good cheap 2nd to 3rd pairing D. Leafs need to shed cap and balance their roster out.

Wings pass on Marner..........

To me its contingent on what Marner's expectation for his extension is like. Wings need high end talent, but his current cap hit just isnt jusifiable long term.
