I promise you no one is as close to delusional as leafs fans who think their trash is worth premium assets lol. You act like 4OA and Kent Johnson are worthless lol. That trade package could get a lot of very good players in the league. Not saying the sens do it but it’s not like it’s a straight up insulting offer. Nowhere near as lopsided as leafs fans thinking marner is worth that lol.

I would like the jackets to target Brady in a trade but I will gladly keep Kent Johnson and draft one of demidov, levshunov, or lindstrom. Lindstrom could very well end up being a center version of Brady or close to it and would be younger cheaper

I absolutely do not think Kent and 4oa are worthless but you're delusional if you think a forward who got 6 goals last year plus a 4th overall equates getting a guy who is immediately the best player on your team.

I get KJ showed potential 2 years ago but he regressed significantly last year. His value isn't what it was at the end of 2022. Just saying cbj fans need to step back just like leaf fans do.

I frankly think Tkachuk would bring a toughness dimension to the team that it's presently lacking. Three high priced wingers in general isn't great, but at lest with this one there's a diversity of skill. And Ottawa badly needs him to stick around, so skimping on the 4th overall is not going to be an option.

I don't know if I'd want Tkachuk badly enough to make that commitment - I keep waffling back and forth - but if this is what it took it would be acceptable.

Yeah if Laine isnt part of the trade, id much rather wait to see how that situation plays out before adding on another high priced winger. I dont think we have any rush and i mean OTT may be in a worse place next offseason if they miss playoffs again. Maybe Brady will request a trade and it brings his price down. Who knows? but i think we are in a spot where we can let things play out a bit before making any big moves.

4OA is extremely valuable. When is the last time a top 5 pick got traded?

Kent actually improved a lot this year and his underlying numbers were better this year than last year. His ceiling is still extremely high. He just needs to recover from his injury and put on some weight so he doesn’t get pushed off the puck as much. He’s only 21 so he still has loads of potential. He will eventually be a 60-80 point guy when he’s ready for top 6 minutes. His value might not be as high as last year but it’s still extremely high.

Right now, I am very hopeful Cayden Lindstrom can provide to Columbus what Tkachuk brings to Ottawa. It makes me hesitant to pay #4 + more fot him, although I know it's a case of one bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.
