Well the idea is spend 6.25m elsewhere wisely. I think the Habs dodged a bullet by NOT signing Radulov. 6.25m for five years. To me he worked his buns off this year getting a good contract. IMO his production will down considerably in the years to come. And even his production on first line minutes wasn't that great. 18 goals, admitting he did have 36 assists. Gee, Bozak had identical numbers with this his 2nd/3rd line status as Leaf.

I know you are right, I rather have a Drouin with more upside. That being said, I'm still sad that he left.

With our cap space, I think we should expect a deadline trade for a pending UFA or RFA to sign during the summer.

Whereas time will tell, from a Dallas perspective, bringing in Radulov feels like winning the lottery. We've struggled to find a fit on the right side of our top line, and if chemistry can be found this could be the beginning of a good run the next few years. He's a special player, so put with other special players like Benn & Seguin, there's just as good a possibility his production will reach new levels. Again, time will tell, but we're excited down in TX!

Karr31, Radulov is a fan favourite here in MTL, where fans are rough on players. He works every night and plays his heart out. You guys are going to love him
