Flames have no roster spots for voit or holmberg. So a 1st and 2 2nds is a start, but it's not getting you both.

That Flames trade is an absolute tragedy you guys can't get a teams best players by throwing a bunch of nothing at them.

That Carolina trade might genuinely be the worst one i've ever seen, Nikishin alone is far far far far more valuable than Marner.

Lol he hasn't even played an NHL game yet. Yes he was great in the KHL but that doesn't immediately mean he will have success in the NHL.

Ah yes the classic he hasn't played a game in the NHL yet so he doesn't have value argument lmfao

Should Chicago have traded Connor Bedard last year because he didn't play an NHL game at the time?

Nikishin's potential is Makar/Hughes level and trading him for a known choker who you guys are trying to offload is hilarious, and I didn't even mention the fact that there's a first and Necas in there lmfao

You guys would be lucky to get Necas alone for Marner

I guess Nikita Grebenkin has Kaprizov potential then and he is even more valuable then Cowan!

Yeah aside from the fact that he had 6 points in 23 KHL playoff games lmfao and averaged well under a point per game during the season while Nikishin was by far the best defenceman in the KHL as a 22 year old.

Also hilarious how you didn't even refute the fact that the first and Necas are in the trade too, sorry you can be a Leafs homer all you want but no ones paying a stupid amount like that for a whiny choke artist trying to get paid 12 mil on his next contract.

I wouldn't give up Nikishin for anything less than Matthews or Nylander, he is probably top 3 most valuable defensive prospects in the league right now go look up any top prospect lists and see if you find Grebenkin on it lmfao

Nikishin is an untouchable prospect. You don’t move prospects of his caliber. Necas and a 1st is likely the best you might get for Marner from the Canes. Even then, a 3rd party would need to eat about half of Marner’s cap hit for the Canes to be cap compliant assuming Guentzel and Jarvis both get long term big money extensions.

41 points in 67 games as a 21 year old actually... Not sure where you got 6 in 23 from.

In his playoff stint this year with the Magnitogorsk Metallurg he played 23 games for them and only had 3 goals and 3 assists with a -6 during the stretch.

And I already acknowledged his 41 points in 67 games when I mentioned that he was "well under a point per game during the season", I think you gotta read my comment again lol

Yeah it was so bad he managed to play 23 games lmfao

I mean my whole point was you can't compare a non-NHLer to an elite NHL forward until they have played some games. You can call me a homer all you want but honestly I didn't even care about the overall trade.

Nichuskin played 23 games on a broken leg when the Avs won the cup.

I mean that was an issue for us in the playoffs this year, two of our top guys couldn't play through injuries. Another reason to like Grebenkin!

Well I hope he turns into what you think he is then because my whole problem is that the overall trade is stupidly in the Leafs favour but if you think it isn't not much else to say, so good luck.
