If that's all it took to get AA, then Calgary signs him to offer sheet. Money would be the same for the Flames as Moulsen and the Flames keep their picks. Sorry Sabres fans, Moulsen is yours.

...and I thought the Brouwer contract we signed was bad...well...technically it is still pretty bad, so no we wouldn't make trade, we have (hopefully) learned from that mistake.

I had the Canes offer sheeting AA in an AGM 3 weeks ago. At this point, I think it would be stupid for a team NOT to offer sheet AA. Force Detroit's hand; they wouldn't be able to match without making some kind of financial move. And as a Wings fan, it could be good for Detroit too - as long as they decide he's an important piece and to match it - because then we would have to dump some dead weight salary (Ericsson/Kronwall/ect.) and that would be great.

Detroit has options probably Kronwall is going on LTIR, Holland isn't worried about being over he knows something. So AA isn't going anywhere he loves it in Detroit and i doubt he would sign an offer sheet for Buffalo.

Yeah well Buffalo isn't offer sheeting AA so it's a moot point any ways. Go after Draisaitl or Johansen leave AA alone.

Mantha, Larkin, Svechnikov, Zetterberg, a new stadium, and a history of winning the Cup.

Eichel, Reinhart, Nylander, O'Reilly, Okposo, Risto. Not sure players really factor in history of winning cups when a teams in a bit of a decline

We'd have to move out some salary...
but maybe we could get a deal on trading for Athanasiou if we took Mzarek's cap hit off their hands as well
Kinda like how we got a deal on Scandella by taking Pominville
