A. Ducks Fans do not want to move Zegras, especially not to Montreal. (If it ever happens, Verbeek will be fired within the next 18 months imo)
If Marner would come the other way from the Leafs, that could be an interesting idea to play with. (Verbeek probably wouldn't be fired for that.)
B. This is overpay for the HABS. The 5OA pick can change a franchise if selected correctly. (If Marc Bergevin were still the GM I'd trade the 5OA for anything, because his track record was abysmal. In Kent we trust though.)

That's too many pieces for Zegras. We're looking for 5OA + Beck OR Reinbacher + MTL 25 2nd. There's no need to throw the Winnipeg pick on top of 5OA.

I personally see Demidov falling out of the top 3, the question is whether Columbus takes him at 4, or do they take Silayev? With how fragile Werenskinis I could see them looking for a new #1D, or they could grab a playmaker for their new 1C to ensure his offense takes off.

My bet is that either Columbus or Montreal grabs Demidov though.

As @habs_trade_churner_50 says, this is an overpay: our consistent demand has been Mesar and the 5th overall pick for Zegras.

I do think that Demidov and Lidstrom go in the top four (probably sandwiched around Levshunov, I hope). If so, I cannot believe that you are so convinced that both sides of your defense are set for the future that you would turn down LDs Silayev, Buium and Dickinson or RD Parekh (who seems at least as bright a prospect as Reinbacher and Mailloux). And given the number of Habs fans who have hilariously asserted that Zegras isn't worth a top-ten pick, I'd be surprised that you'd pass up Eiserman and Iginla for him -- after all, some of the Habs fringe have opined that both will be better than Zegras (eventually).

What happens if Chicago selects Levshunov? (Which I suspect might happen.)
