Oh oh. I would like to say that Ottawa would want Carlo over Lindholm, get a forward back like Frederic, and maybe Ullmark with an extension… at least. You would have to take some cap back like Forsberg as well.

I would ship out Lindholm in a heart beat... its like the guy forgot how to play hockey after being one of the best D in the league last year

No ottawa would decline this because Boston isn’t offering any quality pieces

No? A vezina winning goaltender with an extension is quality? Or a top 4 RHD, that is a defensive defence man? Frederic that got 40 points last season isn’t good either? I like Tkachuk, but he’s not worth much more than that imo. This would give you an actual back end with a decent forward to replace him.

You don’t trade Tkachuk for a centerpiece around 2 30 year old.

If you want to get better, yes. Ullamrk is 30, Carlo 27, Fredric 26. These 3 guys would do so much more than what Tkachuk does for you I bet. This spreads out the depth, and creates a well rounded team.

Disagree . You only trade Tkachuk for someone like Boldy or Nemec or someone younger

Nobody is giving that for 4 years of Tkachuk though. MAYBE if he had 6+ years, but 4, no shot. I guess it depends on if you want to compete or not. Getting these guys gets you to be competitive, getting a young prospect does not. I like Tkachuk, but he is only a 70-80 point guy… that’s a return I would’ve expected a guy like Matthew Tkachuk to get, not Brady.

Anyways, this was a good conversation, have a good one!
