Dream Summer for Blackhawks:

Sign Stamkos---Perfect High End Player for two years at top dollar--gets to play with Bedard. TBL is done being a cup contender.

Sign Teuvo: Skills and defensive awareness to help break in Nazar

Sign Tanev: : Respected veteran RD to pair with one of our young LD's

Even with all this spending we are 25M under the salary cap in the summer of 25.

We lose T. Hall replaced by Demidov
We lose AA replaced by O. Moore
We lose Donato replaced by a Ludwinski/Savoie/C. Dach

The only one we need to re-sign is Kurashev. Hopefully he will warrant a 5-6M contract.

Our draft is:
1-2 Demidov who will spend one more year in the KHL
2nd 1st Round Pick: Move up from 20 using multiple 2nd round picks to get RD Jiricek or Yakemchuk

Rinzel and Jiricek /Yakemchuk will replace Tanev and Murphy in two years.

Crossing our fingers that Gajan or Commesso are a hit. I have know confidence in Soderblum and would like to replace him this year.

Future is bright

Our young players have to learn how to win, we must bring in these types of players above to be competitive. We can spend money now and simply pay Bedard when Stamkos contract is up.

That's about how much CHI would have to overpay Stamkos to get him to play out his remaining years on a non-contender.

Hard pass on Tanev at that price, or any price really. What are you going to do with him if the prospect pipeline produces someone who's ready to play soon?
