If Sheldon Keefe took over the Devils...what would be some moves we could see? Did he have any 'favorites' in Toronto?

I'm just throwing blind darts here.

Probably moves he'd like but I'd prefer anything the pros here have done better

Domi would be good as C/W. I don’t know what Brodie would bring. Don’t know a ton about Kampf. Liljegren has Jersey roots. Kerfoot was drafted by NJD.

I’m just guessing here.

I’d say Ullmark is worth more than Holtz.

Ullmark probably valued at like pick 22 ish + 3rd round pick.

Holtz is probably valued really low. Doubt he has much value outside of NJ. Your best bet is holding on to him to see if he bounces back

Holtz is an odd situation. Talentwise, he’s likely better than the 22nd pick in this draft. That said, two coaches struggled to play him consistently and he’s in the last year of his ELC.

I question his fit and having two prospects with high ability and a questionable fit (Lysell) seems like something a team who doubles down on fit isn’t likely to do,

If a trade with NJ happens, my guess is it includes a top 12 protected 2025 pick and other considerations. That could be best by a team offering a viable proven player or a 2024 pick.

Lindy had a bug up his rear on Holtz...and rarely played him anywhere but 4th line.
He had some rookie mistakes, but the sentence did not fit the crime.
His points-per-minute were very strong. Just needs to work on little things.

There are plenty of teams asking about Holtz.

Does he back check well enough to play consistently? Don’t have an issue with his scoring potential.

Back-checking was okay. Its not that he lallygags on defense, or floats or anything. Effort is there.

Mistakes seem to be more bonehead pass through middle, lack puck protection exiting own zone....just little things that make a pro a pro.

But again, we have seen those things with many of our young guys. Lindy just seemed to be harder on Holtz.

Funny that Fitz and Green said there would be a accountability and only Holtz and Nemec received it. Many of the things mentioned above coukd be pinned on a bunch of players. I'd hold for now on him.
