Sure Dude? It's taken Nashville 20 years to get to their first cup finals, And Vegas is going to do it in two years i seriously doubt that. And how do you plan on acquiring Trouba from Winnipeg and no way is he going to accept $5.5 million try more like $7 million at the very least. Edit oops forgot it's an offer sheet on Trouba that would be easily matched by Winnipeg.

laugh Winnipeg matches that offer sheet on Jacob Trouba rather easily you would've to offer Trouba pretty much around $9 million per for Chevy to pause and think about matching it.

Compete = make the playoffs and do decently during regular season. Next time I'll clarify.

That's fair. Just thinking outside the box. Good thing this is all hypothetical.

Competing at making the playoffs would be a fair assessment, And even then i doubt they make it for awhile. Because other then Marc Andre-Fleury the team is still suspectable.

Yeah without a salary increase Winnipeg still has close to $34 million to spend next year. And they would easily match a $5.5 million offer sheet for Trouba Vegas would be doing Winnipeg a major favor giving him that much i can easily see Trouba getting at least $7 million per maybe even close to $8 million per long term down the road here.

Whereas I see where your heads at, I don't see why they can't compete this season.... They're coming into the Pacific division at an opportune time, & the roster that was developed is not like previous expansion teams, this team has a solid mix! They'll obviously need a lot to go right, but given the state of the division I could see this team competing for a spot this season. GMGM deserves a ton of credit for how he's shaped this roster so far, I believe they're going to be fun to watch come together.

I agree! However, watch some of the highlights from those Russians. They are pretty crazy so hopefully they come overseas and play in Vegas. I mean, who wouldn't want to play in Vegas.

I was also contemplating doing a mock trade for this year to land Trouba or Myers from Winnipeg. Maybe Sbisa, Reinhart and some picks (1st and 2nd) for either of them to avoid the whole complicated offer sheet situation.

With the division they are in, anything is possible really. They are going to be a fast team too so I like their chances.
