Andersson brings back more. Marky won’t go for that much. Neither will Vladar. Not sure the Caps do that, though I’m not sure how Kuemper played this past season. Not sure why Brodie was signed either when Soloyov is likely to get a spot at training camp which would force Hanley to 7th D.

can't see the caps paying you a first and a second to take kuemper. maybe a second, but still don't quite see that.

I don't know their cap situation, but a 1st is the minimum to dump his contract.

If that’s the price then they’re just gonna let him play out the contract. But as noted above, I doubt that someone wouldn’t take him for less, or the caps would retain on him.

Best case scenario for them would be similar to Ottawa trading Murray to Toronto.

Pens decline. No need to trade solid assets for a backup goalie.

Been there done that and traded him for Denis friggin Maglin, needless to say COL has zero interest in Hunt.

Absolutely zero chance WSH does that: Kuemper hasn't been great but he hasn't even been bad over the last two years, they really do not need the cap space, and that 26 1st is insanely valuable. A first and second would also be by far the highest price paid for a cap dump since at least Marleau -- a move that was disastrous for Toronto and widely regarded as the type of thing to stay away from
