I wouldn't trade Ellis for Duchene straight up, and neither would Poile.

Points for not trying to get something for nothing. Ellis certainly fills the ask for a dman, a pick and a prospect. I think Colorado would mull this. Nashville's d takes a hit, but they are pretty stacked back there and would survive. It's not the worst thing Ive ever seen. It's a good bet that Duchene would bounce back nicely in Nashville's lineup and doesn't even have to be the top dog at center.

And Duchene loves Nashville and all the city has to offer, meaning he'll likely resign.
