Orlov not close to the bottom of the list that needs to be moved for the Canes. You might consider checking out their team next year and see they don’t exactly need to move him…let alone pay to do it.

Carolina is going to have enough churn without moving someone they don't really need or want to get rid of.

Montreal doesn't need cap space and Price is LTIRetired, there's zero chance they'd pay anything close to a 2nd to move him.

MTL isnt just giving away picks for nothing. Price will remain LTIR'd in mtl cuz theres no reason to move him.

I already made one for the Canes.

(You might disagree, but I do believe the Canes cannot resign all their assets.)
(Not saying the version I made is what the Canes would do, but if you have made one, please share, so I can better understand what you are hoping for next season)

Unless it is 9.5million coming out of your pocket.

Its insured up to like 80% of the contract. They don't pay much out of their pocket of the actual contract. The 2nd and 5th are probably worth more to them than like 1.5M in actual dollars.

Fair enough. How much would the move maximum. Like a 3rd?

Unless you are Geoff Molson and your going broke, I don't see why you would want to move him at all? Realistically there is no reason to. like it does not affect day to day operations of the Habs currently so why waste a pick? The only scenario is if the team had to sign like 5 big time RFA's next year and would be over the cap even if they had Price on LTIR. That won't ever be the case though since Price only has 2 years left.

Just bury him on LTIR and forget about it. Habs are still rebuilding, they can afford to do this till his contract is over.

Habs arent paying to move Price. His contract is like 80% insured in LTIR. Its either the Sharks pay to take him in a roster player the habs could trade later on or its FC
