Description
The first two lines don't need much explaining. The third line is a hard forechecking line with 3 solid two way players. The fourth line is a good mix of skill and grit, with defensive awareness. The right side of defense could use some improvement, but the question is whether or not the leafs will give up a couple pieces to acquire the right guy.

Why does everyone seem to think Marleau is going to be on the Matthews line? He's primarily a shooter and so is Matthews so I see Hyman will stick with Matthews as he has for almost all of Matthews leafs career.

appears hainsey is going to play the right side, leaving marincin, or dermot on the left side. Gauthier is injured till January so fehr likely stays. pageau somehow got 3.1m a year, brown might get 3 plus.

don't know why you say Matthews is primary a shooter. he work down low in puck retrival is great. leafs aren't paying marleau 6m to be plugger on the 3rd line.

I think Marleau is known for his speed hence he can keep up with Matthews. Plus, is he really going to play on the third line? Toronto's bottom 6 is filled to the brim already.

Hyman has shown he can produce so I figured I'd put him with the more skilled center.
