Canucks aren’t moving Garland for that and aren’t giving Joshua or Monahan that much money

How exactly is a fringe NHL dman and a 4th round pick a “hefty price” to pay to upgrade from Joseph to Garland?

It's not, I'd be very close to doing that deal. Garland has that physical edge that Joseph doesn't. The extra 2 million is tricky to deal with, if they'd take back Forsberg then I'd be all in on it. But anyone who has watched these playoffs can see Garland is a player you want on your team for the playoffs.

Canucks wouldn’t do the deal as is, they definitely wouldn’t do it while also taking back Forsberg
