Carolina Hurricanes
Teuvo Teravainen no longer plays C with the Canes. Because he historically played some C, should he remain listed as a C, or should it be dropped?

Minnesota Wild
Why is Matt Hendricks listed as just LW? I'm not sure if he's ever played LW, but he definitely plays C (which is his primary position), so please list that.

Yanni Gourde barely played C last year. He played most of the year at RW, yet he's listed as a C/LW despite primarily being a winger on either flank.

Artturi Lehkonen has played not only as a left winger, but as a right winger this year. Marc Bergevin even said that they tend to put him on the right side. He's a LW, RW
Charles Hudon can play both wings. He's also a LW, RW

Anaheim Ducks
Rickard Rakell can play all three forward positions. Even though he shoots rights, he played left wing for most of the year with Anaheim. He's a C, RW, LW

Pittsburgh Penguins
Evgeni Malkin never played RW this year. He's purely a C.
Dominik Simon is a LW.

Los Angeles Kings
Ilya Kovalchuck is a LW who shoots on the right side.

Tampa Bay Lightning
Tyler Johnson can not only play as a Center, but he also plays RW. C, RW

Detroit Red Wings
Andreas Athanasiou plays all three forward positions. He's a C, LW, RW
Same with Darren Helm. C, LW, RW
Henrik Zetterberg plays primarly as a center for Detroit: C, LW

Kailer Yamamoto has never played LW. He is mainly a RW who can occasionally play C.

If a player played a position in the recent past but no longer does, should it be changed?

Minnesota Wild
If so, then Mikael Granlund should not be a C anymore.

Carolina Hurricanes
If not, then Teuvo Teravainen should have C added back.

Edmonton Oilers

Kirill Maksimov is a RW, incorrectly listed as a LW.
Ostap Safin is a RW, incorrectly listed as a C. He was forced to play some C after his junior team traded Joe Veleno at the deadline, but he's a winger.
William Lagesson is listed as D, he's LD.
Caleb Jones is listed as D, he's LD.
Ethan Bear is listed as D, he's RD.

I have a question that may not be relevant to this thread:

I understand that Slava Voynov is still property of LA Kings even though he has no contract and has been banned from the NHL. Shouldn't he still show up on the LA Reserve List? Also, do they hold his rights forever or does that end June 30, 2019 (when his last contract would have expired)?

No he doesn't count towards the reserve list. Voynov is under a voluntary retirement list. Kovalchuk was also under the voluntary retirement list

Does LA own his rights in perpetuity or only until June 30th, 2019?

David Kampf should be listed as a C, and Dylan Sikura should be listed as a RW/LW, he isn't playing C even in prospect camp.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Alexander Volkov played on the wing all last season on Syracuse not C.

Daniel Walcott has been playing as a winger primarily for Syracuse last season and a bit rather than a defenseman.
