Danault is not leaving LA until that contract ends, and we hope to keep him past that. He is the main reason we are ok with Kopitar retiring in 2 years.

Montreal had their chance to sign Danault and blew it. He's LA's now.

You’d think pens would want prospects since the Habs have a lot.

Dubas has already informed Rust that they won’t be asking him to waive his NMC. Even if they did ask him to, I highly doubt he would do so for a trade to MTL.

When you think about it, Phillip Danault is Los Angeles' most valuable center, with Anze Kopitar likely to start declining someday and Pierre-Luc DuBois not fulfilling expectations yet. But we would trade him for your 2024 first.

I think that Dubois only got a bad one and he will be a 60 points player next year

bryan rust has a full no move. highly unlikely he would waive to play in montreal. kyle dubas is also on record that he will not ask rust to waive said NMC, indicating hes not interested in moving rust.

not gonna lie I think the value on the Rust trade is fine. But I don't see why Rust wants to waive.
