No shot Canucks are trading Silovs after the playoff run. Silovs will likely be Demko's backup. DeSmith is likely gone.

I don't mind the Devils trade, but the Devils have a ton of young goalies. I don't think they're taking up one more since they want to develop those goalies and get a proven starter for at least the next couple of years. I think if you swapped Silovs with someone else/a draft pick, I think the Devils would be interested in making this trade

We got our invite to the Arty Party. Nice.

NJD has Daws and Schmid, both who have done well at times and show a ton of promise. But we need a veteran goalie...and our GM has said he is "big game hunting". So if Demko were to become available, I think that is closer to what we would be looking for. But cannot imagine Vancouver moves him (especially now).

Silovs is a keeper and he’s Demko’s backup next season.
Canucks shouldn’t trade Silovs.

The fact he's 3rd line just confirms this doesnt work for VAN
Stamkos isnt really a fit for VAN anymore then TBL for the exact same reason.

Stamkos in CGY though has a whole buttload of youth to help mold included 1 particular on in Coronato i think Stamkos puts on the map .
TML i think has the option as Stamkos talked about going home before his last contract in TBL when talks were getting tight and he needed leverage in the negotiations.

A dozen teams want Holtz
Half Dozen are willing to pay for him
2-3 are willing to overpay
VAN falls into none of those catagories.

Kaliyev makes more sense for them right now given the roles they have available.
The Return of Toffoli makes sense too as his career best years were under a Coach similar to Tocchet in VAN
Also it gives VAN back a player they never really wanted to let go of and for 4-5m with some trade protection
