That's not getting Montreal Evangelista, and what is the point in the Utah trade? Just giving away Heineman ??

Then add Heineman to the Evangelista trade, and don't do the trade with Utah. Heineman is not getting a top 9 role in Montreal this year, that is almost certain. And his value is also deteriorating rapidly.

(And if Nashville gets Marner, Evangelista becomes expandable)

That's all good and fine and all, just don't see a reason to give him away. Adding him to the Evangelista offer still likely wouldn't get Trotz to bite either.

You might have to dangle the Pittsburgh 2nd instead of Vancouvers 3rd to get Trotz's full attention, but Harris has more value than people give him credit for.

I'm not discrediting Harris here, he has outplayed his draft position imo and could get a 2nd round pick. But there's nothing in the offer that would be enticing for Evangelista, he's turned out well thus far in Nashville and there really isn't a need to move him. Nashville already has an option to fill RM's spot on the left side and plenty of better winger prospects than Heineman. What Nashville and Montreal both need is a quality center option.

Why would Nashville trade Evangelista unless it was as part of a package for a positional upgrade? Good rookie season, cost controlled, nashville needs that kind of player. Even if they get marner/necas/etc, they need more than 1 line with players that can score. Currently the top 6 wings are forsberg, nyquist (35 at start of next season and last year of contract), Evangelista, and freaking Jankowski. We grab marner and Jankowski can go to the bottom 6 where he belongs.

Harris also doesn't make a ton of sense for Nashville. Our defensive pipeline is filled with sub 6 ft dmen. Stastney is basically our in house version if Harris and we already know he works in our system well. Then we have Molendyk and Del gaizo knocking on the door behind him. Maybe a swap for fabbro but I doubt that makes sense for Montreal.

Seems fair. I will remove the evangelista trade then.

Nothing if interested for the rangers. Rather keep Kakko since they need the top 6/middle 6 RW

Nobody likes Vegas except Vegas. Doing everyone except Vegas a favor here. Cap circumventers they are.

Not a Vegas fan, just noting how childish it is to threaten offer sheets when you don't get a trade you want in a league where they very, very, very rarely happen.

Does the draft capital not entice you?

It's towards Vegas. Vegas needs it to sting a bit to learn. (Childish but really fun when used properly. Like props to the Hurricanes for pulling it off, had KK panned out, wow...)

It is all in good jest.

Yeah, fun to think could happen but that doesn't make it less childish.

1st is good value and NYR could use that cap to make other moves and give Berard a chance in the lineup. I like Kakko but can't deny the value trade-wise. It would be the only trade they'd do for him.

They don’t need draft picks or Armia/Farrell. They need NHL ready top6/middle 6 right winger who’s young and cheap

Kakko is exactly the player the rangers need. They don’t need him to be a point per game player. There’s more to hockey than scoring
