What will happen this offseason

Description
The biggest 'shake-up' I think will be Chychrun being traded.
I don't think goalies will be addressed. One might be traded or bought out at most but that probably won't make it possible to acquire a goalie like Ullmark or Markstrom.
Brannstrom gone for a 3rd at most I think (even though I think he is worth a 2nd at least).
I honestly don't believe Tanev will sign here unless Dallas wins the cup, but him or Demelo (only if Ottawa could have ever had him) would be great.
The only other piece the team needs is a more consistent 3rd pair player that is reliable defensively since we have no idea if Kleven is NHL ready or if JBD doesn't have a good camp again.

No big moves will happen. I don't think Chabot will be traded and no one would take a risk at Norris' deal. I think if he comes back for training camp and plays pre season games, he can come back and score some more goals. But if Norris comes back, I think it would be a good idea to put him on wing and take faceoffs like Giroux. I think Pinto and Greig are better play drivers then Norris.

Few NHL/AHL guys that I don't think/know will be back: Thomson, Katchouk, Mantipalo, Rees, Kubalik, Larsson (with Brannstrom), Smejkal and Sokolov (unfortunately)

Sens will have to take back a contract or add a pick/retention to move Forsberg. There's a lot of backup goalies available for much cheaper.

I've just read they are looking for a top 4 Dman since they are losing Dillion this offseason

I just used the Pens. I also just thought of them because towards the end of the season, they didn't seem too confident in either goalie even thought Ned was clearly better towards the end of the year and not sure if they are bringing him back or not and depending what he is asking for, they may not.

Only 1 year left and I think the Pens will be looking for a goalie depending on what they do with Ned. But again, just used the Pens as a trading team, doesn't mean thats where I think he will go. I think a team like the Kings would also be realistic.

I this this is the right approach and would be very happy with that Ehlers trade. Would be happy if Staios pulled this off.

Chevy needs to avoid that trade. He can't trade Winnipeg's best trade chip for one year of a player they don't need.

Yeah, the trade's been done on here many times before and realistically, it's closer as a one-for-one than it is with WPG adding.

For the record though, losing Dillon isn't a big deal, as WPG has plenty LHD and IMO, Chychrun is a horrible fit for WPG and they're better off keeping Ehlers than forcing Chych to play on the right or pay a big extension just for Chych to play behind Morrissey.

Ned played his heart out during the latter half of the season, and we were very confident in him. Jarry was dealing with injury and illness. Ned was hot and we ran with the hot hand. If Ned signs elsewhere, then I’d rather run with Blomqvist at backup over a $2.75 million Forsberg. Blomqvist has been stellar in the AHL.
