Even if the Sens said yes, Staal says no.

Staal could be any team, just included him to be lazy

Staal would be an interesting option for Ottawa. They need to add a vet 3C, they're too inexperienced down the middle. I don't think it's gonna make sense to add Fast at 2.4 as well. Like the player, and he'd be a good fit, but they've only got so much cap room, and to my mind, most of that needs to go to the blueline, goaltending and top 6 adjustments.

They get two in this trade buddy! If that's the only reason they don't do it, it's not much of a reason

Brett Burns to New Jersey was not on my bingo card.

How much for Drury alone?

I'd rather buy Staal for a 3rd.

Drury just adds to the bruins problem of too many middle 6 forwards. Zacha may not be a better player but he is for sure a better center than Necas and they already want to move him back to wing. Necas is simply not coming to Boston especially for one of the two players they want to have at center next year.

You’re actually drunk if you think the Canes are trading their captain

40 year old Brent Burns nets a 2nd? Nobody is going to want his full cap hit.

What? He's so painfully bad. Aho's the leader of the roster, he's the one that fires them up, he's the one that exploded in the players meeting in Vancouver, he's the one that leads by example. Aho is this teams captain, Staal's just holding the "C" hostage, and he's a big reason why that letter doesn't mean sh*t anymore

San Jose are already eating 34% of that, so that's good then

Pesce isn't playing another day for Carolina.
Staal and Burns vetoes those trades.

I do like the thought of Poitras, but Bruins will probably want a haul for him.

Staal can be bought out, it's only 200k. Burns has 3 teams he can be traded to so you find one of those. It doesn't really matter where he goes, but he can't block every destination

He also SUCKED in the postseason. Try and trade him now while he has value, if he shoots it down, use Necas' arbitration to open a second buyout window and get him out the door.

I’m sorry, but they aren’t trading him. You can think he sucks or that he needs to go, but they’re not getting rid of him. He signed for 4 years last summer because they want him here long term.

They very well might if Tulsky takes over as GM. With Don's future uncertain, you can't be so certain moving forward. The analytical move is to get rid of the 35 year old in the twilight of his career

Lol he doesn’t make 6 million anymore. It’s 2.9. You can stick him on the 4th line and he’s the perfect fit for that role. You must have started being a fan in 2020. Makes a lot of sense

My CapFriendly account is literally 6 years older than yours... yet I'm the new fan? The things you come out with. He makes 2.9, but he's also declining quickly. Moving him makes the most sense

So having a cap friendly account means you’re a fan I guess… damn…

Anyways, they aren’t moving him so just stop putting him in your armchair gm teams. You just look like an imbecile.

For saying they should move him? They should. Tulsky might consider it considering they really like Kotkaniemi
