Why would the Canes ever consider retaining that much on Kotkaniemi when his buy out is so cheap?

Ridiculous

Im not bringing in Necas AND Teravainen. So save the 6.7M for York and Foerster extensions.

MAYBE the hawks would be interested in Bobby Brink but they'd have zero interest in the other 2

Blues decline. We have no need to bring in Laughton

STL would’ve rather had him over Hayes now I’m sure but there’s no need with Dvorsky coming up. STL can keep the 2nd rounder to move up.

Why are we trading away Bobby Brink for nothing?

Buying him out instead of retaining the salary I suggested would save them a total of $2mil. But it also extends his cap hit until 2036. BY trading him with retained salary his cap hit stops in 2030.

Actually there have been two separate Chicago sports writers that suggested Chicago should bring in Deslauries to protect Bedard.

A third round pick is not "nothing". As long as Tortorella is here, Brink is never getting the consistent playing time he needs to develop.

They'll have almost $12mil in cap space for York and Foerster with Johansen, Hathaway, and Petersen's salaries, and DeAngleo's buyout, all coming off the books.

Most Chicago writers are terrible so I wouldn't take them too seriously.
