Could y'all gift the caps to the 18th pick for free? or Kuemper? maybe TvR and Jensen?

And take Demidov and hope Yakemchuk is there at 10 for an unbelievable draft for the Hawks. As is, they'll have a decent chance at getting a high end RHD prospect in Jiricek at 18.

Hell I would even do #18 + #34 + the '25 Stars 2nd to get #10. 34+18 alone are a little bit of an overpay and the Stars 2nd makes it more lopside, but the Hawks should be looking for quality over quality after making 16 top 100 pcks in the last 2 drafts. If the Hawks want to replace the late 2nd next draft, they can take a contract this Summer or move a player at the TDL and easily replenish that Star pick. At some point you collect ammo to make moves.

CHI does that. Part of me thinks trading up can be dangerous and more high value (top two rounds) draft picks is better. But the other part of me is like, go get your guys, screw quantity, at this point.

Makes some sense. Devils may be moving back in draft to add players...and one way would be to drop down in 1st round and add some mid-picks that could be swapped for players. I would imagine the preference would 10th overall for one good player though.

Yeah, a trade like this could happen but not until draft day and only if they have their heart set on a specific guy. Trading to move up/down in the draft before knowing who's going to be available is kind of a crapshoot.

Sure. But I liked todays trade. I think that was fair and balanced enough to not be a crapshoot.

I'm with ya. Wasn't likely we were ever going to make all three 2nd round picks in this draft to begin with. We can collect more 2nds through dumps and deadline deals so the pipeline for more 2nd rounders is not dry by any means. Based on current mocks, 18th OA has a much better chance of getting that one guy who falls. Excited to see what we do with it!

10 139 and 153 for 18 34 and 50 is fair value to move up to 10 per historical values can't see the devils moving down almost 10 spots out of the more premium prospects range for skewed value in 50 and dallas's future 2nd which is very likely around 60
