So the Devils are giving up Nemec, Holtz, to mid round picks and pending UFA Kakkonen for *checks notes* a bunch of crap. Are you brain dead or are you trolling because this genuinely can’t be serious

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to do that.

How is he? We have plenty of young skilled forwards coming up the pipeline, a Nik Ehlers trade needs to be for a top 4 RHD not that hard to figure out

He's a young center, how do the Jets not need more centers?

Because we have Perfetti and Lambert? Also if management doesn't want to run either of those guys at 2C yet, there's a lot more options available in FA at C than RD, Jets have an opportunity to fill a position we've needed since 2018 via trade and there's multiple options that make sense for both wpg and different trade partners to make it happen.

you will have more luck dumping Kastelic in the AHL.
Penguins don't want Mathieu, but we are more than happy to send you POJ for basically nothing, which is what they are both worth.

I highly doubt Perfetti will ever be a center in the NHL and if this team wants to be competitive next season it needs another center.

I don't see who this RHD is thats available in trade, cant see Pulock being shopped or waiving.

I would much rather take a swing at Lindholm or Stephenson in FA and target a Pulock, Hronek, Parayko, Sanheim, Andersson, Schneider via trade

If Pinto was willing to sign I'd much rather have a 6'3" 23 year old center then most of those guys who are in their late 20s or early 30s.

Shouldve traded a 5th round pick for Stephenson instead of claiming Nic Shore.. 🙄 ... also they probably should've drafted Schneider instead of Perfetti.

I mean yeah in theory I guess it's not that I wouldn't take Pinto or a young C but our defense is a joke and I think its probably our only chance at getting a proper partner for Morrissey whereas a 2C is more obtainable via FA or rental

Yeah I've been saying it for awhile, the Jets defense just doesn't measure up to that of true contenders.

I get that acquiring top 4 dmen is really difficult BUT it just needs to be acknowledged that this defense as its presently built is mediocre at best, too small and slow, they were really exposed by the Avs speed.

If we ranked bluelines across the league just based on overall quality and not cap hits the Jets defense would rank somewhere in the bottom half.

Other then Morrissey I'm not sure any of the Jets dmen are true top 4 dmen.

Yeah agreed I think Dillon and Demelo could be argued as good 4th defenceman but it's just not nearly good enough, I mean it was pretty predictable after we lost buff, Trouba, Myers chairot was pretty obvious we needed to rebuild or at least retool to stay a contender but it's a business and enough fans were and remain fooled thinking the Jets are a real contender

Yeah I do think those two could be complimentary dmen on a 2nd pair but thats it, they top out as #4 dmen at best.

Is Morrisey a true #1? Probably more of a good #2 really but he's the Jets #1 so it is what it is.

The 18-19 season was lost by Christmas, they should've started the retool then, gotta wonder where they'd be now had they sold off a bunch of those guys for decent returns rather then keep them as own rentals and trade for Hayes, maybe Buff doesn't quit either if Wheeler had been dealt with sooner.

If they actually want to contend they need at least two legit top 4 dmen added for next season, that's a tall order.
