Joel Eriksson Ek isn't getting moved. This value isn't anything close to getting him if he was available which he isn't. An injured prone dman on bad contract, a prospect and 1st round pick doesn't get another teams 1c. It would start with Thompson.

Yes. For some in Sabreland. Cozens had a rough season as a 22/23 yr. old during the first year of a lucrative, long-term deal. Part of the reason for it was his fight with Garnett Hathaway in early November when he got his clock cleaned and suffered a concussion, the effects of which lingered a while. The other part was the fits and starts during a season of disconnect where nearly every player struggled and the head coach ended up getting fired.

I really like Eriksson-Ek, but ain't willing to bail on such a young player like Cozens after a turbulent season.

Keep on kicking the can on a rebuild then idk. You’re not going to get a much better prospect than Kulich or a higher first plus a young decent dman for a non elite center. Just my opinion I guess. A 1 for 1 swap for Thompson doesn’t help either team they’ll both still be mediocre. Ek will get moved in a few years and we’ll see for how much but I doubt it’s much more than this maybe a sweetener draft pick.

Ek will get moved in a few years according to you? Bill Guerin will not move him under any circumstance. All the teams in the NHL will pay more for him if they ever move him, but Minnesota won't. Minnesota isn't buffalo where they move their player's, or player's asked out. You offered an injured prone dman, one with injury history and bad contract Minnesota doesn't need. 1 prospect and 1st round pick will not get you Eriksson Ek whose flat out not available. Nor are you even close to his value. You don't know anything About Eriksson Ek to say he's non-elite. Wild aren't rebuilding and had a better record than buffalo and still have top ten prospect pool. Wild wouldn't even offer Ek for Thompson straight up because they didn't offer him for Eichel. It's a NO.

You want wild 1c on long-term contract, yet you think you can get him for a Dman who fit no need for wild?? 11th pick isn't close to any value for ek, nor just one 1st round pick with a prospect. No, a sweetener pick to what you offer doesn't get him. with all due respect you offered nothing of value to wild.

It’s not that serious man, read the title of the article. But it sounds a lot like Buffalo fans were with Eichel who was dealt for much less than everyone in Buffalo swore him to be worth. Also I know you’re not rebuilding but you’ve been the same middling team since I was a small child and I have two of my own now. Legit question when does a rebuild come?

Wild aren't ever rebuilding. No disrespect but even when your title says, being silly, you weren't when you said Eriksson Ek will get moved In a few years, He won't. They will 1000 percent resign Kaprizov with the biggest cap hit in NHL history. A buffalo fan shouldn't be talking about another franchise being middling at all. Eichel was injured and wanted out. Big difference in Value. Buffalo fans asked for Eriksson ek and I was the first one to say Eichel wasn't worth him. Guess what? I was right. Don't try to compare Eichel situation and value to Eriksson Ek

Buffalo has nothing to do with Minnesota. I’d just want more if I was a Minnesota fan. Nobody is praising Buffalo lol. Life as a Buffalo fan has been brutal. I’d want to rebuild so badly if I was a minny fan, they clearly don’t have the core to actually compete for anything more than a possible first round win. I guess I’m confused why you wouldn’t even entertain moving the good players you do have. A resigned kaprisov to the highest cap hit ever would be foolish and more of the same but if it fills seats I guess to each their own.
