St Louis declines, Pavel Buchnevich is worth more, And we're not retaining $2,000,000 on Fabbri for a $5,800,000 Pavel Buchnevich.

Boston declines, They'll keep Ullmark over a worthless Ville Husso even at 50% retention, Which again Detroit doesn't do since Ullmark makes $250,000 more than Ville Husso.

Jeff Petry and his NMC, laugh at the thought of waiving his NMC for a Western Conference team especially Utah.

laugh We're not retaining $6,000,000 on Copp trading Holl, Veleno and a 3rd for a lousy 4th round pick. And there's zero chance in hell of Copp ever waiving to go back to Winnipeg laugh

And Brandon Montour signs that here in Florida not Detroit.

Winnipeg isn't paying Detroit to take on their mistakes.

I doubt Boston is taking Husso at a little under $3M for that package.

Around 2mil and I'm personally not against it, but we need more from that proposal if it's also a contract dump for a top goalie

The lowest Husso gets to is 2.325 if fully retained. I wouldn’t value Husso at that salary much less this one.

What's the max you can retain? only 50%? Not actually sure

50% for life of contract, which is only 1 year in this case

Boston can not and will not keep Ullmark. They need to buy a scorer and can not afford to tie up 10mil in goaltending. Husso is a decent back-up for half the price and saves them 2mil in cap space so this MIGHT work is you tweak it somewhat. Doesn't have to be Wallinder or 2nd. I'd go as high as 1st if I have to but not sure SY would.
Buchnevich is questionable but he is 29yo and I think we saw the best of him already. From here on it's less and less production every year so not sure how much more he's worth. Would you give-up 1st rouder?
As for Fabri at half the price Why not? he's good for 15 goals or so on bottom 6. At 2mil? Why not?
Getting Copp and Petry to wave NMC is tricky I agree but doable I think. And Copp as bottom 6 at 3mil or so is not that bad of a deal. Jets need Defense so Holl is a viable relatively cheap option for them and they get Veleno and move up a round in the draft too.
Maata is a solid D-man and is worth a draft pick. If not SJ then Utah, Chicago, Jets. Someone will take him. SY can find a partner who'd pay 3rd or 4th for him

The Failures of the Yzerplan are not worth as much as you think
Jets and Utah are trying to win not take dumps
Boston will get much better offers for Ullmark from Carolina, New Jersey, or others then a cap dump goalie and an AHLer
