Hawks fans agree and we like him. Ironically, he could have left and went to any team, but he chose to stick with the Hawks. I can't see him getting traded at all.

Slaggert is easily worth more than Kozak, and, Slaggert being younger and waiver exempt, is arguably worth more than Rousek. He might even be better than Rousek, but that is TBD. So why is CHI adding the higher pick?

Mmm, SJ maybe could trade Bystedt alone for Jokiharju and Krebs. But do you honestly think they'd add Ferraro, Sturm + mid 2nd also?

What on earth is that sharks trade? I think you forgot to add the Sabres 1st round pick and a good prospect coming back to the Sharks.

Seems like an awful trade for the Sharks.

A Big Center prospect with a 2nd line ceiling, a 2nd, Sturm, and Ferraro for an okay Right handed defenseman who is worth a 3rd, and a first round bust?

lol

The reasons you quote for wanting Slaggert are the exact reasons the Hawks wouldn’t trade him unless the offer is too good to refuse.

Chicago's 2024 fifth round draft pick from Calgary is higher than Buffalo's 2024 fourth round draft pick from Philadelphia? Okay. If Chicago wants to go higher, it has two first round picks, two second round picks, and two third round picks. If Kyle Davidson wants to trade away those picks, more power to him.

Oh. Probably dislexia'd that, or OP changed the trade. Either way, I still don't think CHI would be interested.

I'm being a smartass but I've always thought the phrasing of higher and lower as opposed to earlier and later was weird with regards to draft picks. After all, 138 IS a higher number than 109 so shouldn't the 138th pick be considered a higher pick than 109?

Higher or better tier talent would be drafted in the earliest or higher rounds. Scraps or average talent remaining would be drafted in the later or lower rounds.

Tyler Kozak needs another season with Rochester. Dependent on trade and free agency acquisitions the Sabres make this offseason, several prospects will promote from Rochester to Buffalo. Kozak could find an opportunity to contribute more in point production.

Cool. I still very much doubt CHI would be interested. They are pretty high on Slaggert and Slaggert seems pretty intent on being a Blackhawk.
