Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Chychrun, Jakob
  2. Tkachuk, Brady
Additional Details:
Sens have apparently thrown Brady's name in trade talk according to Rutherford

Marner would come with an extension (11.75 x 8)
OTT
  1. Liljegren, Timothy [RFA Rights]
  2. Marner, Mitchell
Additional Details:
Not like this is realistic, but Tkachuk under Berube would be a monster. Marner/Stutzle would be a prolific duo as well, but divisional rivals would never do this

Back to the 'built for the playoffs stuff'...

Matthew Tkachuk has a build "built for the playoffs" too, but for some reason Marner beats him in takeaways/60, blocks/60 and has less giveaways/60 etc. So, how does that happen? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6JoXgkDtjM is the proof...

The nonsense you're spewing is hilarious

That’s weird because Matthew is close to leading his team to their 2nd Stanley Cup Final and Marner can’t win a round…

Pretending that Calgary didn't happen... Weird...

It's almost as if Florida has good depth and an unreal goalie with a Selke 1C

From bigheadhockey

When Matthew Tkachuk is on the ice in series vs Rangers:

1. Florida has outshot NY 68-28
2. Out attempted NY 169-69
3. Out scored NY 10-4

Ya - he’s just a passenger….

Again, Florida has fantastic depth... Nothing I said disregards that...

And you still disregard what happened in CGY

MT lead his team to the 2nd round his last season in Calgary and he had 10 points in 12 games. Gaudreau and Lindholm haven’t been anything close to what they were when they got to play with Tkachuk yet he has thrived and lead another team to what will probably back to back cup finals…don’t think whatever point you are trying to make is scoring you any points there…

You mean in Calgary, where he had a .55 PPG in the playoffs?

That's not showing up for a playoffs worse than Marner... Especially that 19-20 season...

He was productive in his last season in Calgary and won more games that year than Marner ever has in playoffs that year. He was also obviously the key cog in Calgary. And he’s now going to his second back to back finals…keep on loving you some Mitch. I’m sure it will turn out great next year…

No he didn't tears of joy... Tkachuk wins with CGY in 21-22: 5

Marner wins with Leafs in 22-23: 5

Marner had more points, takeaways, blocked shots, was close on hits and others...

Get your facts straights before sh1tting on players...

Sorry - I was under the impression the Leafs got swept last year. It only felt like one. Weird flex tho considering it was Tkachuk and his team that kicked Marner and the Leafs arse…

You mean the Leafs got Bobrovkyed? .950 save % in a series where Marner had more goals than Tkachuk...

I'm not even a Marner fan... But your point are beyond ridiculous

This year Marner had had 3 points in 7 games which is less than the .55 ppg that MT had in Calgary that you scoffed at before. Tkachuk also does other things to help his team win and doesn’t avoid going in the corner to take a hit like Marner does. How anyone can take the approach that Marner has been better in the playoffs is dumbfounding but you do you pal.

The only 2 things Tkachuk did better in CGY than Marner in Toronto is hit, and even then it's not as much as a guy like Matthews: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6JoXgkDtjM and draw penalties (which is largely up to the refs discretion...

The stats and the eye test prove that Marner's playoff tenure with the Leafs has been better than Tkachuk's with the Flames objectively... Meaning Brady isn't guaranteed to be all that good in the playoffs either... So the Leafs instantly decline and trade Marner for something else...

Ottawa is not giving Brady who is worth his contract for 4 more years for 1 year of Marner who is not worth his contract. Good luck with all that playoff success Marner has had…

I understand - again full circle - you guys don't want to be successful in the playoffs. Convo over...

Again, the Leafs want to be successful in the playoffs, that why they aren't going after Brady, they'd rather spend their cap wisely... And not overpay for someone who can't lead his team closer than 20th in the league...
