The way I see it, Ullmark probably nets a late round 1st, and there is definitely a "tax" to trade a good player to a division rival, and I think the 3rd covers that, although I'd probably press for the 3rd to be a 2024 pick. To me, that all sounds fair.
The question is, does a 2nd and a 4th cover the cost of dumping Forsberg's contract? Absolutely that is more than enough to pay *someone*, but I don't know if Boston actually would want to do that. It is pretty unusual for a playoff team to take on a cap dump. Why not find a third non-playoff team and likely pay less to do the cap dump?
