I was going to make a roster where I try to troll VGK's cap hell with the Sharks by offer-sheeting Dorofeyev for like 2x$2.8m. Unfortunately that requires a 3rd for comp and you sneaky buggers snagged our 2025 3rd in the Hertl trade. Sticking Out Tongue

No, it would only cost Harris (3rd round value) to move from 26th to 19th, Habs aren't gonna add the extra just to be nice

Chicago literally just paid a 2nd to move up two spots in the first round and 4 spots in the second. This is moving up 7 spots in the first round, that would require more then a 3rd as the price has already been set

Yeah, I was thinking a 2nd but then went with a 3rd but the premis still stands just Evans instead of Harris should be enough

I would accept cbj trade. Tex is awesome but we could use Hague more.

Valid point, but also different teams.

Some will have no issues moving up or down depending on the return value to their roster.

I think Harris + WIN's pick would be enough for VGK to move on this type of trade. Harris as shown high potential, is a 23 yr old Left or Right Defenseman so is still learning and will be coming to maturity in 2 years from now. If VGK can get him now, extend him for 3 to 5 years at a 2M$ to 2.5M$ cap hit, they may come out of this trade as the winners.. But, everything is based off of what would the VGK need now, and can they make it work with him. They do tend for the bigger guys, so Harris would be out of that trade right off the bat.

They may ask to switch and ask for Barron, + WIN 1st + PIT 2nd round next year if they want a bigger guy with offensive potential and develop him on the defensive side.
