Not sure how this is an overpayment. Guys has great 5v5 stats and put up 57 points. This is a very good deal for a 24 year old.

Yeah, but it's too bad they locked up goaltender Zach Parise and head coach Ryan Suter as long as they did for that much AAV. Could really handcuff them once they want to re-sign first line center Matt Dumba.

I just realized and have edited my mistake. I was probably thinking about Scott Niedermayer which may have been why I thought he was a d-man.
