Unless the leafs have no faith in Woll this trade makes zero sense to the leafs. If Woll and Hildeby keep their progress of development they only need a 1B UFA goalie for one season.

Woll has been injured every year of his professional career, he’s definitely a starting goalie but his problem is he can’t stay healthy

NSH isn't giving you 2 1st round picks for rental Marner.

NJ and PIT both decline for sure.

Not sure what SEA would do there. He's 32 and a rental this year. If they aren't in they might be willing to move him for a 1st.

Nashville would definitely give us Saros and 2 firsts for Marner alone. People are severely underrating how good Marner is. He a 90-100 point player. Plays PP1 and PK1. He’s amazing defensively. One of the best playmakers in the league and he’s only 27. Saros is also a rental so it’s rental for rental. Also, goalies are not worth nearly as much as players are.

Kyle Dubas brought on jankrok and they could use another Swiss Army knife type of guy. He’s also a good two way player. He can absolutely get a 3rd rounder. Plus he’s on a decent contract.

Devils would gladly give up a 3rd for Kampf. He’s been a proven shutdown centre that is a terrific penalty killer and great at faceoffs. It would be good for a young gun ho team like New Jersey to have a solid bottom 6 guy that is a solid defender.

32 is not old😂😂 he’ll be good for at least another 2 years and at that point his contract will be up and we can figure something else out.
