And Tanev

And maybe even Roy. Free agent right handed d-man like himself and Tanev typically get PAID.

Since Necas doesn't play centre, this doesn't work. Just resign Domi, and keep the first, Liljegren and Minten as a NHLer next season unlikely too. No 7th NHL Dman?

Tanev is hard to predict due to his age. That can easily affect his status where is signs similar to little less than his previous deal.
Roy has rumoured to be a 6x6 million deal. If those rumours are true, the deal ain't bad. That being said, the UFA market is always hard to predict. Some players over sign while other under-sign. I can definitely see a desperate team sign Roy to 6.5 million after missing out on pesce and Montour.
Necas, at that deal would probably resign with Carolina. Involved in a trade, him and his agent could look to fight for more.
Bertuzzi is not worth more than 5 million based on his previous year but that being said there has been a huge differing opinion from insiders. Some say Bert will be willing to 4.5 to 5 on a long term, others say he will get 6-6.5 million. Ditto for Domi whom some said Toronto could look at a 3.5 x 3. Others are looking at 5-6 million.

All those FAs you signed will get more elsewhere, + CAR declines that Necas trade. Also, Kampf is a negative asset so we'd need to add a sweetener (pick/retention/player) in order to dump him

Likely a bit more for Tanev and Roy as others have said; and a lot more for Stolarz - he'll be at least 3 or 4 AAV.

I love the idea of going after both Tanev and Roy - think they'd be perfect to remake the Leafs blueline. But I don't think you can fit them in if you keep Marner and once you pay a real goalie (3M+).

You can definitely get both of them without trading Marner. Just don’t have to trade for Necas. I doubt we get a real goalie this off-season. Not a single FA goalie I’d want to pay more than 2 million. No idea who’s on the trade market but I would not want to give assets for Markstrom or Gus (based on the trades I’ve seen from other ACGMs). I’d rather just build our blue line as much as possible, and put Woll in a position of success. By position of success, I just mean healthy for the playoffs, which is all we really need.

That's fair. But if you're paying less than 2 for a goalie you're probably looking at maybe DeSmith? or Lankinen? but not Stolarz or Brossoit

Another team that Dewar isn't even qualified. Idk how much people watch the playoffs but Dewar is the perfect example of what a 4th liner looks like. His 2nd full season in the league he had 11goals that is better than most 4th liners in the league.

Not sure if you noticed but there isn't exactly a whole lot of cap space left lol.

True this team is all over the place. You have a RW playing center, a rookie on his off wing, timmins as an everyday player and 3 goalies instead of a real good 4th liner that was solid in the playoffs. LOL and your laughing at my comment.

Necas has played centre earlier in his career. There are various reasons why a switch from the wing to the centre could make sense, given the talent he would be playing with.

Cowan has played extensive minutes at every forward position in junior. I don't think this would be the first time in the history of hockey that a forward has played on his off-wing before. Truthfully, it's probably the most unsubstantial thing you could have critiqued about the entire roster.

If I were to change anything, I would send Reaves down and then I'd have room for Dewar. Everything else you mentioned is pretty insignificant.
