I've never been banned before as hard as ive worked for it...

One of us actually uses the armchair GM tool, the other criticizes people who do. At the end of the day, if you want to question the strength of a roster like the above then the joke is on you.

I'll leave it at that, not interested in fulfilling your need to bicker like a child. Maybe one day you'll actually create an armchair GM yourself!

In my opinion, even if the Kraken's pick is valuable, I think Toronto goes for something more tangible than a 1st with the Marner Trade. Probably more like Gourde/McCann and Larson for Marner

I'd tend to agree. Toronto would likely bring back close to Marner's cap hit back in assets that can take the ice in October. If they took Larsson plus 8OA that pick is getting flipped immediately for someone who can help now.

Appreciate the reply. I get the thinking, but it's hard to do all your shopping in one place, especially because any team looking to trade for marner will be looking for immediate improvement as well, making someone like mcmann unlikely to be traded back our way.

It might make sense in a vacuum, but all these moves are meant to compliment one another. I thought about acquiring gourde, but preferred to have matthews-lindholm-Tavares to AM-JT-YG, especially considering lindholm is a free asset and let's us walk away with a valuable pick.

There might be an obvious option im not seeing that would make sense, but with the strength of that roster, I'd rather use the pick to draft another blue chip D who could be ready to play by the time myers expires.

IMO, I still spent a good amount of futures to make the team better in the present. An 8th overall pick would ideally not be far off from contributing either.

I get the thinking here, and I'd agree that we shouldn't be trading marner only for this roster to take a step back. I'm only trading him here because I think it improves our roster today and into the future. The cap space he opens up is crucial to that, and finding good free agents means we can still accrue draft assets that we're free to spend at any point.

Appreciate the feedback though.

You do the same thing each post. Make bad trades for TO and then bash leaf fans who call you out. Classic troll

OTT declines

That's a good amount more than hanifin and hronek returned so part of me doubts they decline, but if so swap the 23rd overall for the 8th overall. Obviously a huge overpay but that's OK.
