Your ideas aren’t all bad, but it’s a lot more likely the Sabres make only one of these trades not all three of them. And Buffalo is paying way too much in the Seattle trade for two guys with one year contracts.

Love the ideas. Getting a vet 3c, a defensive right shot d, and a fair amount of grit with Crouse, Duhaime, and kuraly. Everything here is at least plausible too.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised; I clicked on this expecting to see yet another Jenner poach attempt.

But I don't think we have any motivation to move Kuraly, particularly since he's a Local Kid Doing Well. That may be fair value, but I suspect we'd just keep him.

When you consider how much both Gourde and Larsson have meant to the Kraken - one is their 'glue guy' at forwards and the other their team captain, with both being strong leaders - the price proposed is totally fair (assuming the Kraken even decide to deal either to get younger. Botterill would likely lobby for Jokiharju, whom he traded for in Buffalo, and Krebs is a younger, cheaper and less proven version of what Gourde has made a living as. Buffalo still gets a 3rd rounder back and Rosen is likely the most forfeitable of Buffalo's prospect pool.

Local kid? TSN says Kuraly is from Niagara Falls......

In any event, it's hard to know if the new coach Waddell brings in will want upgrades over the bottom 6. Vincent and Kekalainen didn't seem to rely that much on Kuraly last season.

Sources online are conflicted about where precisely he was born, but he definitely grew up in Dublin, got his start with various Ohio AAA Blue Jackets affiliated peewee teams, and seems to consider the Columbus area his home.

I suspect he'd be allowed to run out his contract.

I think the plausibility is there, in terms of at least trying to get both teams in each trade fair value in areas each team is reportedly focused on adding in.
- It's hard to know if Utah will be willing to deal Crouse when all of the hype from the new owners is about adding - not subtracting - proven talent but, at the same time, they're still in a rebuild and adding an elite prospect and 11OA has to be tempting.
- Similarly, it's too early to know how Francis and Bylsma will go next year - one would think Bylsma's familiarity with their AHL roster and time spent developing younger players, along with the Kraken seemingly taking a step backwards while aging in some key positions, signals some push for more young talent and shedding older players on expiring contracts like Gourde and Larsson. But both players are beloved in Seattle and have M-NTCs so either or both could squash a deal to Buffalo even if Adams were interested.
- My hunch is that with a new GM and coach this summer, Columbus will overhaul the fringe players around their current core of Gaudreau, Jenner, Fantilli, Johnson and Werenski. Kuraly as a 4th liner seems expendable if the Jackets get some picks and prospects. Lindgren has to be signed next month or his rights are lost - I doubt the Sabres will sign him with Johnson, Novikov, Komarov and Strbak ahead of him on the depth chart.

I'm stunned how many recycled deals keep appearing over and over and over in proposals:
- Jets fans seem determined that Iafallo will be traded to Buffalo for a pick
- Leaf fans are either trying to dump Kampf on Buffalo for a pick or going the extreme with Marner for Power pitches

To be fair….
Our fellow Sabres fans are just as bad

EVERY DAY i see multiple attempts from Sabres fans trying to get Tkachuk or Crouse, etc etc etc

It definitely gets tiresome
Especially when it’s crap that just isn’t gonna happen
