I still cringe because every time I think of overpaying I think of that guy from Philly we signed and was a bum here. Can’t even say his name it makes me sick!

We made up for, they gave us a first round pick for ristolainen. Karma.

He’s definitely getting at least one more season in Buffalo, and the buyout is a little more palatable next year. Best case scenario the NHL hands out a couple more compliance buyouts because everyone everyone else has completely fubared their salary cap situation. The great irony is using one on him and resigning him at a price that he’s actually worth while still making the same money technically. I think he doesn’t want to leave and if we did do that he’d actually consider signing back anyway.

These type moves actually let’s us hang onto the Cap Space we need moving forward

Pretty good job in that regard @phen

We would need to get rid of Skinner the following season,
but that seems inevitable at this point
