Sens decline . Reinbacher isn’t that good to match this value

Sens decline. Late 1st isn’t that appealing, would rather the Calgary 2025 1st. Farrell is meh, and Reinbacher is really the only interesting piece. I see him more as a 2nd pair guy though so that’s the reason I’d decline.
Alright then build a package around this
-MTL's 5th OA
-Mailloux OR Barron OR Captain Konyshkin (22 year old KHL Mobile Dman averaging 22-23mins a night)
Ill give you a way better quality of pick but im not also giving up the 5th OA last year for Tkachuck in a package.
I'd build one around lets say Beck , 5th OA and Barron or Konyskin with maybe another piece involved for Tkachuk
I might give up Mailloux or Matheson if Pressed but that'd be it and we'd want the 25th OA OR a swap of 2nd round picks this year and a 3rd in 2026
I wouldnt give up Reinbacher and a 5th OA package for Tkachuk though
Not unless they pony up the 25th or 39th OA this year in the deal
But giving up 2 top 5 picks after suffering for 2 years just to get they guy we shoulda drafted originally.
Its a tough sell unless something of value comes with him in a 25th OA and at least a swap of 2nd rounders for Ottawa's 39th IF Reinbachers involved if two picks is too steep for the Sens on top of Tkachuk outright without 1 coming back to cancel 1/2 out.
Good as Tkachuk is and he is, but 5th OA no matter who it is. It sets OTT up Longterm, then they have their at 7th coupled with Reinbacher last years 5th OA and a Dman of your choice all added to your depth chart after this years draft or Center from Beck to Mesar. You could end up with Lindstrom and Iginla or Demidov and Iginla as Utah has 0 D signed and will have a shot as a few good ones as Leshunov,Silayev,Dickinson,Buium and Parehk can all go top 5.
This means it would have to be a trade at the draft after the first two players are selected
If a Dman goes 2nd OA then those picks are almost guarantee to see quality forward
If ANA choose Lindstrom like i think then it all comes down to the Wildcard with a new GM in CBJ
It'd be an exciting deal to try to pull off and the first time i think the habs would cheer about losing their 5th OA pick at the draft just before the pick.
